I've lived in several parts of the US and had several careers including neuroscientist, data & research analyst, as well as worked in nonprofit and small business settings. I love to learn new things and to teach as well, and am currently studying gemology and figuring out how to make that a full career.

I am an animal lover who lives with 4 cats and is vegan. I am passionate about music, much of my travel is to attend music events (especially Springsteen!). I am far too addicted to TV shows and movies and I also love to read. Science fiction and fantasy are some of my faves, along with mysteries, disaster movies, and almost everything except horror.

I haven't been traveling as much lately as I used to, so I'm anxious to get that back into my life. I hope someday to visit Peru, Germany and Israel along with other countries too numerous to list.

I've been an active volunteer for decades, held leadership roles with a varie ty of animal welfare groups, was a member of United Way's Inclusion Council, and have been involved with and supported other organizations.

I'm a homeowner so I understand the importance of having guests who respect your property and personal space. I am also available to cat-sit or house-sit if you will be away during part or all of my visit.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

For most of my travels I've stayed with friends or in motels, but I'm finding that in some locations those aren't viable options so I want to try other things. I'm an extrovert and often travel by myself so I'm looking to connect with people (hosts and other travelers).

I'm not in a position to offer stays at my home at this time, but may be able to in the future.
