About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To be as warm as possible
ABOUT ME
My name is pronounced "MERan"
(like Erin with an M first)
I adore my younger siblings.
I have a TV, but only for watching movies.
I'm a bit of a computer geek, studying Tech Communication at the University of Washington.
I like the city and the country almost equally, though I prefer the country in the summer and the city in the winter.
I like slowly absorbing nonfiction, but once I start reading a good novel, I can't sleep until I finish it.
I am an artist (both musically and with a pencil).
PHILOSOPHY
"I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes, this makes planning the day difficult." --E.B. White
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have a lovely couch for lovely people to sleep on.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've had only one experience as I am relatively new to this thing: Kyle was a wonderful guest, a fabulous cook and an excellent dancer.
Interests
clouds, chicken soup, growing things, cleaning when I feel like it, foreign films, thinking about the 4th 5th and 6th dimensions, water, graffiti, fast cars, languages, coffee, music, being as warm as possible, playing piano, cooking, books that change me, bike riding (though not much at present), wine and cheese, laughing with my whole body, not very scary movies, dogs, hikes and sleeping.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: I like old classics, but haven't seen many.
Music: Bjork-dork at heart. I listen to the likes of Radiohead and Tiesto, as well. My taste is varied and wide.
Books: Catcher in the Rye is my favorite. Currently reading "The Executive Brain" which is quite interesting.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The Northern Lights in Montanna, Winter of 2003.
I looked up on my way inside the house and realized that there were massive green pillars of light shimmering directly above my head. There must have been a huge solar storm or something; it's rare to see the Aurora borealis that far south. I ran outside with a friend and a blanket and we lay on the grass looking straight up into the lights. It was like staring up in an immense cathedral, with an endless vaulted ceiling.
