Hello! I'm Mercedes, an artist who spends a lot of time on the road. I absolutely love seeing our beautiful world and doing what I can to protect it. After graduating from college (art school) I spent a lot of time being politically active with a group of online music fans (long story :D).

I am hoping to get to know the places I'm going on a local level. I love hosting myself and love to meet people who do the same for complete strangers. It's an interesting type of person! :)

兴趣

I make paintings, drawings, and gemstone jewelry, and I make a lot of trips all over the country to paint in front of audiences at music festivals. Yoga, wiggling around, live shows, bouldering/rock climbing, and playing with hula hoops are how I stay active.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Standing Rock for 6 weeks in 2016. It was beautiful and tragic and I mostly washed dishes and did prayer walks. But one time (!!!!), I spent 2hrs driving my 9-seat Suburban across North Dakota and waiting all day at a jail to pick up some water protectors. When they were finally released 10 hours later and we were almost back to Standing Rock, we were chased by a pipeline worker's truck with its floodlights on down a desolate dirt road. It was so crazy/scary!!
