About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Spain again

ABOUT ME

I have re-entered my country after have been a European Voluntary in France for 10 months. This program of the European Comission supports a period of volunteering abroad for the young europeans (or not so young, as me). Not so easy to get to participate, but I've finally got it. If you're interested, here's the link: http://ec.europa.eu/youth/youth-in-action-programme/european-voluntary-service_en.htm

I've also been journalist, press officer and, more important, I've learnt how to make fantastic tortillas. I love travelling, meeting new people, learning and sharing recipes.

As I have just arrived, I have a lot of things to arrange, but I'll try to find time to show you my city.

PHILOSOPHY

I am polite, punctual, organized and I talk a lot. I have grew in a big family, and I've learnt the meaning of being adaptable.
Spain is so big and I'm from the north, so don't expect me to came dancing flamenco because we are more like Ireland. And after 8 months in France, well... French manners are sticky.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've discovered CS in the volunteers seminars and I has been a nice surprise.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

A fantastic journey in the south of France as couchsurfer. The hosts make it extraordinary and it has showed me other accents and other French way of being.

Interests

Films, litterature, painting and cooking. Languages. A lot of cinema, in fact, and a lot of litterature. I would like to konw more about the art, but days have only 24 hours. French culture and french people and their nasal vowels that I would never be able to pronounce.

Changing from living in dynamic cities to a isolated rural french town has been toute une experience. Now I'm fascinated from all the heritage shared by the agricultural european communities.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like a lot art cinema. I used to work in the audiovisual sector, so I get a lot of now useless information about the audiovisual sector. In the music area, Arcade Fire and the other similar groups, but I have gone to a lot of concerts of a lot of groups just for the pleasure of going to a concert. And books are really my thing, sooo many; maybe Stefan Zweig is my last big discovery.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My nephew makes amazing things all the time.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach some things and recipes in the kitchen area and in the communication area, but communication is so different in every country (protocol, social media...).
I'm used to teach Spanish and a can teach a little French too, but, in the case of French, I think is better learning French from a native.
I am painting again (oil painting, acrylic...) and I am working on my French.
I am very good doing Brazilians thread brazelets.

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, Czech Republic, France, Hungary, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal

Countries I’ve Lived In

France, Spain
