About Me

Hello!

I moved to the San Francisco Bay Area to study herbal medicine and currently living in Oakland :)

This is such a strange and magical life. Always such a joy to meet other people also inspired by life, excited by curiosity and travel, and all the things. About me... I say I'm an herbalist, because to me that means living in a way where I'm moved by the power of the natural world, feel deeply the imporance of beauty and health, and am the most alive when sharing it. Being an herbalist is probably the most fun thing one can do, so I highly recommend it.

I grew up in New Jersey with 4 siblings, all of us 18 months apart. I'd traveled a bit on my own, but then in 2020 left for Latin America, and spent 1.5 years backpacking through Central and South America, doing some workaway trades, finding people to learn different healing arts from, giving Thai Massage, and immersing myself in Spanish. It was lovely. I moved to the Bay to try somewhere new and experiement with putting down little roots. It has also been lovely, although I unfortunetely don't have a space where I can host.

I love movement and exploring how strange and joyful it is to have a body that can do so many things! Trekking, climbing, swimming, yoga, running, boxing & martial arts... and getting into / back into fire flow arts! Also a big live music person, and generally always down for any recommendations for anything from food to drinks to nature to "this is the weirdest place i've ever been". So. Let's hangout and do all the things!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love meeting people and hearing stories. the best way to get to know a new place is through the people who have memories and stories and homes there! It is wonderfully special to connect with fellow humans / travelers in this way! (And currently— hoping to connect with someone in SLC!)

Music, Movies, and Books

This is hard. I don't have favorites and am always finding and being sent music that I enjoy! Currently on a Blues kick, which is always a good kick to be on.
Books... Also hard. recently reading a few novels, don't typically read sci-fi unless someone recomends something, and 2025 I think i'll circle back to reading lots of memoirs. But we'll see! Send recs if you've got them though

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hiking up a huge sand dune in the Sahara Desert for sunrise. It was one of the most beautiful moments of my life.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'll bring you herbs from my little home apothecary, and teach and share whatever i've got. I am always down to learn. Stories, skills, languages, facts, conspiracy theories, all of it

What I Can Share with Hosts
