ABOUT ME

My friends would describe me as hardworking and loyal. I set goals for myself and take pride in achieving them. That being said, I can always find time to take a walk or watch a movie; I value relaxation as much as productivity. I do my best to maintain a balance between fun and work. I've found a little optimism and an adventurous spirit go a long way.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Meeting new people and hearing their stories adds zest to life, so I'm always looking for opportunities to do more of it. Couch surfing is one of my favorite ways to travel and hopefully I can return the favor by hosting you myself sometime!

兴趣

I LOVE to cook. It is a creative outlet for me to look in the fridge and make a meal out of what I find. I firmly believe that a healthy, delicious meal is never out of reach with a well stocked pantry. Shopping for food is one of my favorite pastimes (there's nothing better than a morning spent at a bustling farmer's market), as is looking at new recipes or reading food-related articles on line. I am also an avid runner, averaging 65+ miles per week and when training for my next marathon. When I am not running or in the kitchen, I enjoy biking, taking walks, watching movies, working in the garden, window shopping with friends, and hosting wine and cheese parties. Oh, and coffee; looooooove good coffee/coffee shops.

I love movies, so pretty much anything goes. Disney will always have special place in my heart, especially The Lion King. Horror movies are a no go. Musical tastes are pretty broad: Mumford and Sons, The Head and the Heart, Train, Coldplay and David Gray, Norah Jones, and classical when I need to study; no rap, scream-o or techno. Favorite books include Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, anything by Malcolm Gladwell, and Mark Bittman's cookbooks.

I love showing people how to cook. It is a passion of mine and one I want to share with as many people as possible. Wether you want to bake a merengue, saute carrots, or spatchcock a chicken, I am happy to show you how.

FOOD! I love repaying people with tasty edibles.... from granola and rustic, craggy loaves of bread to gourmet pizza, roasted chickpeas and Italian classics, I make it all.
