ABOUT ME

I'm a young adult from Helsinki Finland who used to work as a classroom assistant with autistic children but now I'm studying Biology in the university of Helsinki. I'm also an amateur artist (www.merilahteenaro.fi) who sometimes has exhibitions.

Sometimes I'm really conversational but occasionally I just relish silence.

I live in a small apartment, but might be able to host guest who are okay with sleeping on a floor with a trekking mattress.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've been surfing twice: Once in Scotland and once in Finland. Both experiences were positive!

Interests

I love hiking and studying insects.

On my free time I enjoy exploring the nature and creating art. At the moment I'm enchanted about birds and painting them.

I'm also a passionate dancer and dance ballet, modern dance and reggaeton.

Music, Movies, and Books

I've had different reading periods. At one time I read only Russian classics, then came a time when I read books by Oscar Wilde, Woolf and the love of my life Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. And of course the horror period: Poe,Lovecraft and Shelley. Bottom line, I read a lot. And everything from scifi to poems.

I've walked the East Highland Way (82 Miles - 132 KM) alone in six days.
