About Me
Dear couchsurfers!
I just started out with couchsurfing and I like to have the experience of meeting new people and practice languages. I'm not really good at describing myself as a person, but I would say: open, modest, friendly, easygoing and shy sometimes. I've studied Biology in Wageningen in the Netherlands and since September I started an Ecology master in Poitiers in France. I chose this master, because I am interested in sustainability and how people try to change their habits for the good of the planet. It's very exciting to live in a foreign country, but I haven't met a lot of local people actually, because I mainly hang out with my study collegues! That's one reason why I want to participate in couchsurfing. Besides me being a poor student!
Interests
I'm a person with a broad interest. For me it's interesting to hear about most things that are new to me and that I never heard of, but also about things that I am familiar with. Things I like to talk about:
- Places to visit
- Nature
- Music
- Cooking (new recipes etc.)
- Games
- Martial arts
- Movies/Series
- Sustainibility (Permaculture, different diets etc.)
- Political discussions
- Other cultures

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In 2012 I volunteered in Costa Rica with sea turtles. I have seen a huge green turtle laying eggs in the middle of the night and dozens of Leatherback turtles crawling up to the sea at once.
