ABOUT ME

I have lived in Georgia most of my life but have managed to travel a decent bit and hope to continue! I am a high school teacher and excited that I get to have breaks in the year to travel again. I'm pretty easygoing and laid-back and I really like to meet people. People have told me that I seem shy at first, but it's not really the case.. once we get talking you'll see that I open up very quickly, and have a pretty outgoing personality.

I haven't used couchsurfing in a long time, primarily because I haven't solo travelled or travelled in a small group in many years until very recently. If you notice my lack of engagement on the website, that's why. I am excited to get connected to couchsurfing again because it has made my travel experiences so much better in the past! 🌈

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I definitely promote couchsurfing amongst friends and spread the word to people who have never heard of it. It's a great resource and good way to meet new people in any area, whether in your own country or abroad.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have only hosted a few times, and I have mainly surfed. All of the surfing experiences have been awesome, and I look forward to hosting in the future when I have the space to do so. I have also done some of the couchsurfing meet-ups and enjoyed the people I get to meet.

Musica, film e libri

I enjoy bluegrass, folk, and acoustic music, blues and jazz. My Morning Jacket, Fleet Foxes, Avett Brothers, Indigo Girls and a lot of local bands from my region... but I like a little of everything.
I am always looking for new music! Constantly want to update my music so suggestions are welcome :)

One of my favorite books is The Alchemist, HP fan of course, and I always think of Where the Crawdads Sing as one of those books that I couldn't put down. I'm currently listening to American Dirt on audiobook, and it's incredible.

When I travel to other countries and places, I prefer meeting local people and exploring the authentic culture as much as possible. So, that being said, I offer to hosts a willing and eager participant to check out your local spots and get to know you/ practice language if/where possible! I want to learn as much as possible and hope to develop a friendship simultaneously.
