To explore the outdoors as much as possible, especially natural bodies of water.

ABOUT ME

I love people and cultures and staying active outdoors. I teach English to adult international students, and I love my students and my job, but I am considering a career change to nursing.

My activities include triathlons, hiking Colorado's 14-ers, Masters swimming, trail running, and kayak camping.

I have an entrepreneurial spirit. I have been told I have a gift for cross cultural communication, which is a good thing since I teach ESL.

I also have some experience in home remodeling and construction.

I am a quiet, simple, laid-back person and have been called a minimalist - I think this makes me the ideal couch surfer!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have a spare room available and am interested in hosting visitors to KC. I have been hosted in a few cities.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I lived in Thailand for six months, sleeping on the floor of my shared apartment and then in the guest room of a couple who was then in the US on furlough.

I have visited friends in Ukraine, Peru, Jordan, and Costa Rica, sleeping on couches or in guest rooms.

If I didn't know a local, I have typically found a campground and pitched a tent or stayed in hostels.

兴趣

I love nature, swimming, all kinds of ethnic food, picking up words of various languages from my students, hiking, camping, kayaking, open water swimming, Masters swimming, triathlons, trail running, gardening, trying to surf, wakesurfing...

When I travel abroad, I love small towns off the beaten path.
