About Me
ABOUT ME
Like most people on this site, I love to travel and meet people from all over the world. I'm really interested in community-based projects, social justice and environmental issues, and progressive activism. I work at a nonprofit that does youth-led organizing in Providence schools. I haven't been able to travel or host as much lately after having a baby. We moved into a somewhat larger apartment, and I'm hoping to get back into hosting again.
PHILOSOPHY
Respect people of all backgrounds and lifestyles, respect the planet, and respect yourself. I think that it's important that we find real connections with each other, our communities and our environment. I don't agree with the current status quo of income and racial inequality, environmental degradation, and nonstop consumerism. I hope that we can work together to create a different economic/social system that is more inclusive, equitable, and sustainable. Unfortunately I have been feeling less optimistic about things recently, due to what’s going on in politics here and around the world.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've surfed and hosted, and I really enjoy both. I mostly host now since I haven’t been traveling as much lately.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've had many amazing experiences couchsurfing in Europe, Latin America, Morocco, and the US. I'm so grateful for the generous hosts that have welcomed me into their homes, introduced me to their cities and towns, and opened up a new way of traveling and looking at the world. I'm glad to be part of this network of open-minded and kind fellow travelers.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Swimming with giant tortoises and sea lions off the Galapagos Islands, celebrating the festive week of Fiestas Patrias and riding on the back of a motorcycle around Chile, and hiking in cloud forests, the Amazon, and the Rocky Mountains.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm interested in learning about sustainable projects, community and nonprofit work, gardening techniques, local and international politics, and whatever you're passionate about. As a host, I can give you a tour of Providence (what I know at least) and cook you some vegetarian food. I'd like to practice my Spanish whenever I get a chance.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I completed a yoga teacher training program and want to practice teaching yoga. I've taught English classes, so I can help you practice English if it's not your first language. I can help cook and clean when surfing.
