About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To overcome fear with love, through listening, receiving, being and creating. That about sums it up!

ABOUT ME

My name is Moen. Merileigh Moen, actually...I come from a long line of hoarders, which proves my minimalist existence to be provocative and dancing into "the weird."

I have been floating since I graduated school in '06. Odd jobs here and there, an office job that abruptly catapulted me back to REAL living, traversing the California coast, as well as a year of traveling across India, Nepal, Thailand, Cambodia, etc, has brought me to where i am currently at: living on a sailboat in the San Francisco Bay. Boat dwelling has changed my life in ways I can't describe. I consider the past year to be one of revelations, struggle, triumph and growth. I have let go of many personal possessions, I have learned the ways of the water and wind in a way I had never imagined. I have experienced a different type of life, all the while exposing myself to the realities and excitement of urban living once I step off the dock. The homeless, the court system, young people, the roller coaster that is performance art, independent living, challenging yourself to be and become your best.

These days, I feel compelled to push forward and receive the new places, people, and challenges that the universe presents when traveling. I am ecstatic, I am grateful, and I am for real!

PHILOSOPHY

Open heart, open mind, infinite existence.
Love each other.
Go for it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I bring people joy, food that is always interesting, and killer impressions of friends, relatives and prominent public figures.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

This is a new experience for me, though I have many friends and acquaintences who won't stop talking about it. I have had many moments of unbridled synchronicity in my human relationships, and I imagine that this forum is, at it's best, a breeding ground for these cosmic encounters.
