Hello, everyone! My name is Mert, a 22-year-old passionate explorer with a camera in one hand and a melody in the other. I’m an amateur photographer who loves capturing the world’s hidden beauties and a musician who finds inspiration in the rhythm of life.

Recently, I had the incredible opportunity to complete my Erasmus experience in Vilnius, Lithuania. It was a life-changing adventure that not only broadened my perspective but also sparked an even deeper desire to explore the world. Now, I’m on a mission to discover as many cultures, landscapes, and stories as I can, one destination at a time.

I’m also an electronics engineering student, which keeps me curious about how technology shapes our lives. Whether it’s crafting circuits or crafting memories, I’m always eager to learn and grow.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

For me, Couchsurfing is more than just a way to find a place to stay—it's a gateway to genuine human connections and cultural exchanges. During my world travels, I’ve realized that the most memorable experiences come not just from the places you visit, but from the people you meet along the way.

I’m passionate about meeting new people and immersing myself in different cultures. Every conversation, shared meal, or even a simple walk through a local neighborhood teaches me something new and helps me see the world through a fresh perspective. Couchsurfing gives me the unique chance to step away from being just a tourist and truly feel like a part of the community I’m visiting.

I believe that cultural diversity is one of the greatest treasures of humanity, and I’m always eager to learn about the traditions, stories, and ways of life that make each place unique. In return, I love sharing my own experiences, stories, and a bit of Turkish culture—whether it’s a friendly chat, some photography tips, or even sharing a song I’ve composed.

As a photography enthusiast, I enjoy helping others capture the beauty of the world, whether it’s through technical advice or simply sharing creative perspectives. And as an electronics engineering student, I’m happy to discuss innovative ideas, problem-solving techniques, or even dive into the basics of how things work.
