I'm Merve! I am from Istanbul/Turkey but currently living/working in Porto. I am a person who seeks for her true self and looking for some enjoyment in the life :) I am a nature lover, vegetarian, minimalist. I really love to talk, eat and do activities... I have an endless energy to share with you... My life motto is; "when was the last time you did something for the first time?".

Now I’m in Europe, and I want to explore Europe. I used to be more interested in other continents. I used to found them more adventurous, richer cultures and I already traveled 4 different continents but now I’m interested in Europe, wants to explore different life’s.

It is a great platform where I had a chance to meet with amazing people in past. I was surfing back in Egypt, Brazil and many European cities. CS is not just a free accommodation for me. I do rather stay in a hostel if don’t want to get along with the person I’m staying with or if I don’t feel comfortable with the house. And actually I really love hostel experiences as well but mostly I prefer CS. I don’t only use it for accommodation, I mostly use it for networking wherever I go, I browse hangouts or sometimes directly reach people according to the field I’m interested for this trip. I love get to know local people in the city I’m travelling, I don’t feel that I truly living the city’s vibe if I don’t meet them.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I was being volunteer English Teacher to children in Thailand for 6 weeks. I also travelled 4 different countries on 4 different continents. I lived in Brazil for 6 months, i stayed in favela for 5 weeks while volunteering there and I even had Ayahuasca with an indigenous tribe!

I would like to learn & teach how to cook local vegetarian food and learning languages. I am an Industrial Engineering student but I can say that "industry" is not something I very like. I always try to make our planet a better place. I try to produce more, consume less. Also, I seek for personal development and impacting others. A quote of Rumi says; “Yesterday I was clever, so I wanted to change the world. Today I am wise, so I am changing myself.” and this is what I believe.

Another thing: we can do yoga and cook vegetarian food together!
