About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Enjoying harmony with nature and human beings

ABOUT ME

I studied psychology in the US. This gave me an opportunity to experience a whole different reality early on in my life. I have since worked in various fields (import-export, recycling, construction), although traveling, living and working in nature have been by far the most rewarding experiences.

I am currently occupied at our small farmhouse and travel in between, sometimes for long periods of time. Ariadne, my wife, is a nurse at a health center.

We are members of Bioscoop, a consumer co-operative,and Peliti, the national network for preserving traditional seeds and varieties.

One of our goals is to cover a large part of our needs from our farm's resources. We currently make bread, noodles, cheese, jams, pickled veggies, soap and other goodies using what we grow.

PHILOSOPHY

Treat others as you would want to be treated. I have a hard time understanding why people harm others unless it's for survival. I am certain we can all manage to live harmoniously as long as we stop asking for more than we need.

Mostly positive. It is important to be flexible and adjust to conditions and circumstances.

Interests

I am interested in learning all kinds of new things... I love all sorts of outdoors activities, music - especially vocal -, languages in order to communicate with local people.

Alternative movements such as co-ops, solidarity economic principles as opposed to capitalism, free and accessible information and health for all, community living, exchange networks and alternative currencies, etc.

Music, Movies, and Books

Silent Wedding, a Romanian film, is definitely worth seeing. I enjoy Woody Allen's sense of humor and character analysis and mostly enjoy watching foreign films from all over the world.

King's Singers Madrigal History Tour is one of my favorite cds being that I like a capella singing. Check out Pentatonix!

I'm OK - You're OK is one of the books I think anybody should read. Understanding who we are and our place in the universe makes our lives richer and more fulfilling.
Der Papalagi (The Papalagi)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Getting on my bike and taking a long trip around the world! And many others after that...

Teach, Learn, Share

Learning to live without the constant need for material things. Enjoying having free time and making the most out of it. Getting close to nature and maintaining a sustainable living environment.
