Hi! I'm Messane. I'm French, living in Reunion Island (a small island in the Indian Ocean). I love travelling, especially in Asia!

My Couchsurfing adventure started in 2018 in Taiwan. Then in 2019 and early 2020, I stayed in Seoul and Tokyo. Thanks to CS, I met amazing hosts and people who are now lifelong friends 🙏🏻😊

I like exploring cities, making friends from all around the world, diving, hiking, singing... And above all, I love food and small talks in coffee shops !

I usually don't plan my journeys so much. I'd rather just go and get surprised. I am quite calm and like to take time to walk around, meet people... And let opportunities decide of what's next! :)

I was born and raised in Grenoble, France, a city that is surrounded by the Alps 🏔️
As far as I can remember, I've always been dreaming of leaving away and go on an adventure!
I had the luck to travel now and then as a kid, mostly in Europe and Morocco, where half of my family lives. Then I started traveling by myself, and immediately loved it!

I have been living in Reunion Island since 2018 and it is an amazing tropical place that you surely have to discover!

As for my job, I am a doctor/physician working in a university hospital. Still, I try to travel as often as I can! ;)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

1) I Hiked Mt Blanc (~4800m) twice :)

2) Crossed North, Central and South Vietnam by motorbike

3) Still in Vietnam, I fell into a shrimp pond by bicycle...

Teach, Learn, Share

I love learning more about local culture and way of life! I'm super curious to know about how things go in your country! This is something I can really talk about for hours

Also I really love tasting local food! :)

Learning languages: I started studying Japanese by myself, and a little bit of Korean too :) But I never really could practise any of these languages so I would love to!

Also, I was told I am a pretty decent skiing teacher, but you might rather meet me in warm places/seasons, so I'm sorry it might not be such a relevant skill lmao
