ABOUT ME

I teach art Kindergarten through 8th grade and really love what i do. I grew up in a small town and never got the experience of traveling until recently. I have a passion for seeing the world and truly understanding other cultures and people.

PHILOSOPHY

I try to live an open-minded and positive life. I constantly strive to have an up-beat personality even when times might be tough because there is always a reason to laugh, love and live. To judge is to be judged. I do not judge people and stay away from gossip. I look past exteriors and assume good intentions. I feel that taking care of one's body is one of the most important goals in life. I want to be a life long learner and learn as much about other cultures, people, philosophy and life. I want to always strive for the best in life and believe I can make any goal with dedication and the right outlook.

Interests

Art is my pride and joy. It is my way of seeing the world in a different light. I have the best job in the world and love what I do. I also enjoy playing the guitar (no lessons and I am terrible at it! :), meeting new people, discovering interesting new places, caving, skydiving, snorkeling, hiking, biking, canoeing, boating, camping, and anything outdoors, running, yoga, teaching, cooking and eating well.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have been to Cancun and Isla Mujeres in Mexico. I volunteered there (teaching English) and it was my first time out of the country. I have enjoyed discovering the place I currently live in (the ozarks)every possible way. My passion is to travel, but I have been content in just my own back yard. Things I have enjoyed nearby have been skydiving, caving, hiking, canoeing, boating, the lake, and biking.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am an art teacher. Art is something that has been instilled in me since I was little and I wouldn't be the same without it. I would love to share my love of art with others, whether that be my knowledge of art history and philosophy, or teaching skills I have learned to better other's artistic abilities. I believe everyone can be an artist because everyone is born with a unique sense of creativity. It is all about unfolding and revealing that creativity and art is one of the best ways to discover yourself.
