About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To discover places and culture, meet new people and enjoy every moment as much as I can.

ABOUT ME

Twenty first century hippie who believes in sharing, peace and love. Sometimes musician, sometimes scientist, but always happy and looking foward to meet new people.

PHILOSOPHY

Care for the people the same way you would want them to care for you.

My beliefs are somewhere in between humanism and buddhism. I believe in doing to the other what you want them to do to you and I believe on self-working. If you wanna do something, you just gotta work hard enough by yourself, with yourself, to achieve it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

At the moment, surfing through Europe and saying to everyone how couchsurfing is the best way of travelling around. When I get back, I will move to Montreal and if I do not have a couch, some floor room will be available.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I surfed a couple of nights in Ireland, in the Netherlands, in Belgium, in Germany and in Sweden. So far, my experiences are somewhere between good and simply great. I think Couchsurfing is just great!

Interests

I love music. I've been playing saxophone for the last 9 years and I have a college degree in music. I also love the outdoors. Went to do the West Highland Way in Scotland (about 150km from Glasgow to Fort William), i've been rock climbing for the last 8 or 9 years as well and ice climbing for 4 years I think. I like sciences, mostly astrophysics and physics. I like all kind of sports. I also like chess a lot and pool. There is not much I am not interested in.

Music, Movies, and Books

The movies I like... Into the wild, Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind, Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, Trainspotting, Kill Bill, Ace Ventura, Lord of the rings, Sin City, Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrel, and a lot more.

I love progressive rock music. Favorite bands are Pink Floydd, King Crimson, the Beatles, Genesis, System of a Down, Kain, Les Cowboys Fringants, Jean Leloup, Yan Tiercien, but I also like Jazz, Classical Music, techno (psy, psytrance, goa (Infected Mushroom, Astral Projection, Talamasca, Paul Oakenfold). Beethoven and Djorvak are way cool.

I do not read a lot, but still I read some Kafka and I love it. I love absurd. I don't know if it's related, but the visual arts I like theb est is modern arts. I love Piet Mondriaan.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Swimming the Loch Ness, Hiking in the Highlands,

Ilse of Lewis and Harris, Prague, Stockholm.

Teach, Learn, Share

I know a lot about music but one of the things that fascinate me the most is astrophysics. So if you wanna talk about our universe, the stars, the big bang or whatever, that would sound good to me. I can also talk a lot about music and if you are a begginer/intermediate saxophone player, I guess I could help you and/or with music theory as well. I'm not a bad chess player either.

Countries I’ve Visited
