Hi! I am Metka, half-Slovene and half-Dutch. I love traveling and do it as often as possible. I am a bit geeky and love trains, so my Trans-siberian railway trip was one of the highlights so far!

I love reading, talking about politics and the world and I love nature :-) I am very open-minded, super curious (hope you don't mind) and love good conversations. By sharing stories we learn so much from eachother and the world!

Traveling is very addictive, the exciting feeling of seeing new things and experiencing another way of life... I want to experience the culture of the place where I am and talk as much as possible with locals, try the local dishes and just learn from all the wonderful people I meet. I rather 'live' somewhere for a little while than do all the touristy stuff like a checklist. Traveling is about so much more than consuming tourists-sites. :-)

By traveling a lot I reckon we become more humble and appreciate what we have, for the world is not always a fair place. My travellist is long and there is so much to be discovered.

On my future travellist are: Lebanon, Madagascar, Kirgizstan, Japan....

I love learning about other countries and their history and stories of people. Anything related to politics and history has my interest.

I love music, playing guitar and piano, food, philosophy, interesting talks, learning languages, history, traveling, swimming, anything outdoors, hiking, trekking, mountains, biking, (salsa) dancing and so much more :-)

Some movies that touched my heart are La Vie d'Adele, Intouchables, Le fabuleux destin d'Amelie Poulain, Into the Wild. Also love documentaries.

Books... Mostly biographies, psychology books, history books etc. But I also like poetry and literature, books about living in the wild, wildcamping and bushcraft. And of course.... Harry Potter!! :-D

I like a lot of music genres, rock/metal/Ska/Folk/Indie/punk/singer-songwriter/salsa/Bachata/latin/spanish/60's rock/70's rock/guitarmusic, softer music as well as classical music and pianomusic: Chopin, Liszt, Beethoven etc.
