Hi,

My name's Marie-Ève, I'm 33 yrs old and I live in Quebec City, Canada.

I work at the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec (CALQ), where I'm a program manager in literature and theatre, while studying part-time : I'm doing a M.A. in Public Administration, specializing in Organisational Analysis and Development, at École nationale d'administration publique (ÉNAP) in Quebec City, Canada.

I also have a B.A. and a M.A. in English literature.

Apart from my everyday self, I'm an occasional traveller with an acute case of wanderlust! Always opened to visit new places, meeting new people and experiencing everything life has to offer, as much as possible!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've couchsurfed twice in Reykjavik, Iceland in 2008 and again in 2013, had an amazing time and made a friend for life! I've also hosted her when she came to visit me in 2010.

While in Iceland in 2013, I had the chance to visit the Faroe Islands for a few days with Sigri. There, we were hosted by a lovely couple in Klaksvik who showed us around and made us discover the archipelago.

In the summer of 2014, I travelled to Italy for three weeks. During my time there, I had the chance to meet up with Fabrizio, in Bologna, who kindly showed me around. While in Naples, I met up with Alexandre and Ovidiu to visit the city and went to Pompeii and Vesuvio the next day. All three of them definitely contributed to making my time in Italy extra special!

Books: Anything written by Anne Rice & Christopher Moore, the Harry Potter series, the Hunger Games series, and many more.

Movies: V For Vendetta, The Rules of Attraction, American Beauty, Army of Darkness, and Interview with the Vampire, the new Star Trek movies and Monsters inc.

Music: Mostly rock n' alternative. Definitely electronic (dnb, electro, epic trance, freeform, uk hardcore, trance, prog house, goa, psy). I love Rammstein, Infected Mushroom, Ferry Corsten, Scott Brown, Omar Santana, Marilyn Manson, Radiohead, Moist, Garbage, Jean Leloup, Madonna.

Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto

I've been to Europe a few times : France, UK, Germany, Spain, Slovenia, Iceland, Faroe Islands and Italy. Iceland is where my heart is, though. Also loved Barcelona more than words can say.

Last summer, I realized a lifelong dream : I visited Peru and had such a special time there!

Next stop : Who knows!
