Music, Movies, and Books

Wow. Too many to mention, but I'm usually engaged on a search for something I've never before encountered.

In music I've most recently been captivated by Black Joe Lewis, Santogold, Of Montreal, Los Campensinos, Jens Lekman - it's usually indy pop stuff for me. Standards include Paul Kelly, The Cure and The Smiths.

In film I've been ensnared by Hollywood for escapisim, but my FAVOURITE film maker/artist is David Lynch - and I'm always open to foreign (to me) films for something eye opening and mind expanding. I usually will get out and engage with the film culture of my host nation. Recent favourites include Summer Palace out of China and Memories of Murder from Korea.

Matthew Barney is always good as an art film maker.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'm not much for the amazing. I'm happy to search for the sublime in the everyday - and it's very apparent when you're in a new place.

Countries I’ve Visited

Japan, Malaysia, Netherlands

Countries I’ve Lived In

Australia, China, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Viet Nam
