ABOUT ME

Hi there !
I'm Nadia.

Once I changed my life, left lots of nice things&memories behind and moved from a small town in the middle of nowhere to the city of Petersburg. This was probably the best decision I've ever made 'cauze I realized how big and how small the world is at the same time and how broad is the choice of opportunities we get if we're not afraid to try. I enjoyed living in Petersburg and showing the nicest unique&hidden places in the city to my guests. I also spent some time travelling which was always a great experience.

Then I moved again a coulple of times, and currently I'm in Aarhus, Denmark, where I work as a Russian teacher at Aarhus University. I do enjoy living here and will definitely stay til the end of the academic year 2019, but this experience will be incomplete without you, inspiring, beautiful couchsurfing people. I am always up to explore the surroundings, spend a couple of hours on a conversation in a coffee shop, walk, ride a bike, enjoy live music & performances, all these kinds of things : ). I'm pretty busy with work but weekends are normally free.

"Life is about people you meet".. I find this phrase fair enough. I believe that not only beauty will save the world, but also our kindness and open mindedness.
So that I am trying to do : be light and calm and stay positive. Simplify my life and share the best I have. laugh together, support each other, and be honest.

movies : mostly European cinema art and arthouse. but sometimes it's really nice to watch a nice romantic movie (like He's Just Not That Into You) or an old American comedy (like Bringing up Baby).

books : a lot of russian and foreign authors, but Haruki Murakami is my favorite. also, Oliver Sacks, "The Man Who Mistook His Wife For a Hat"

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

it was summer 2014 and i had been going up on a mountain lake for 4.5 hours all alone in South Kazakhstan.
and then when i saw this lake i just sat down on the shore and told myself: "i did it.. well !"
there going up without a respite i understood that a process can be really more important than the result .

Enseignez, apprenez, partagez

Teach : russian language (i'm teacher of russian as a foreign language), cooking vegetarian food, sing Bob Dylan's songs if you can play guitar (because i can't))), walk for 12 hours and not be tired :)))

Learn : what do you like ? what is your hobby or a work which you are willing to devote your life? We all are here to learn something from each other .
