Hey there, I'm Mark. Easygoing and open minded. I love people with a sense of humor, especially sarcasm. I drink lots of coffee and won’t go anywhere without my ipod. I have a thing for Latin America and its cultures. I love Thai food. I love the ocean. I love crazy nights out, but most of all I love meeting new people and I the experiences to be had with couch surfing :-)

I live my life to develop as a person, by feeling, seeing and being part of experiences that challenge and improve me and the people I share them with.

Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto

One of the most transformational experiences of my life has been learning Spanish. I arrived in Guatemala not knowing a word beyond hello and good-bye and threw myself into intensive lessons.

Through spending time with the amazing friends I've made, by talking with my teachers, with the locals and teaching the kids here the change has been immense. To go to bed every day noticeably knowing more and feeling the change in day-to-day interactions with everyone I know is something I will never forget.

To see this over a period of 12 weeks....I would recommend the experience to everyone

Una de las experiencias más transformadoras de mi vida ha sido aprender español. Llegué a Guatemala sin saber una palabra más que hola y adiós y me lancé a clases intensivas.

A través de pasar tiempo con los amigos increíbles que he hecho, hablando con mis profesores, con los locales y el enseñar a los niños aquí el cambio ha sido inmenso. Es ir a la cama cada día sabiendo más y sintiendo el cambio notable con las interacciones del día a día con todos los que conozco, es algo que nunca olvidaré.

Todo esto en un período de 12 semanas .... Yo recomiendo esta experiencia a todo el mundo.
