About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Do things that make you happier :) (isn't that just everyones mission?) For now it means going to university, travel as much as I can while studying, finish a master of science, earn money and start travelling the world!

PHILOSOPHY

Everything is now. There is no past or future, just memories and predictions. So make memories that make you happier. In the end, all that ever has been, took place in a small box behind your eyes and was nothing more than a dream of being a person.

I like to think of things from an evolutionary perspective, because I believe we're products of evolution, nothing more. I have found out my philosophy is associated most with what is called 'materialism' or 'physicalism'.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I became known of couchsurfing while I was travelling South-east Asia. I met an American guy while hiking in Northern Thailand, who told me he had been travelling large parts of the world and barely spend a dime.
I was new to travelling and found the hostels in SEA comfortable and affordable enough, but later I realised money was not the only reason to do couchsurfing (Where would all the hosts be?).

After I travelled SEA, I realised I'd mainly stayed in the tourist tracks (just like 99% of the other backpackers), but I was one of few that got of the main route and took some outs. Those were the times I enjoyed most!

One day I was in Malaysia and I met locals because this other CS took me along. It was the end of my travels in SEA, but I was very happy that I had found out about it, because I knew for sure it is going to bring me a lot of great experiences in the future.

Interests

I like to do sports (almost every sport, but prefer ball sports).

I'm a music person. I usually spend most of my time listening music (jazz, rock, hiphop, reggae, classical) or playing the piano (I recently started playing the trompet as well.).

And of course I love travelling. I need adventure in life, as life is a big adventure.

I also enjoy good movies, video games and books.
