ABOUT ME

I've lived mostly in the USA since I was about 8 or 9 years old. Having family in Germany though as allowed me to come back often and explore Europe with family while there. This, coupled with being in a military family and moving a lot, has given me wander-lust! I want to see the rest of the world, and it just may be possible to do so through CS.org.
I'm a big guy, at 6'6" (1.98 meters) tall, and 270lbs (122kg), but please don't let that scare you. I'm a very gentle man whose main interest is making friends and seeing all the unknown corners of the world. I have been told that I'm a great listener. I love to trade stories and learn.

PHILOSOPHY

Live life to it's fullest. That's what my dad always taught me. Live today as if it were your last.Live. Laugh. Love!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've surfed one couch in London and one couch (actually spare bedroom) in Acerra, Italy just outside of Naples. Plan to surf many more!

When I was in the Navy, I saved someone from drowning. I was a MP (Military Police) and I was stationed in Hawaii. At times when it rains it pours, and streets get flooded. An older gentleman had gotten stuck in a flooded intersection and the water was rising fast. He couldn't get out because his electric system had short circuited in his car and he couldn't open his doors. Stupid design if you ask me. Anyway, I had to climb atop his car, use my baton to break the glass of his sunroof, and then pull him out. That tops my list of amazing things done.

There will come a time in your life when you will just want to hastily leave a place and get lost. Be sure you are prepared for when you are lost. And always, ALWAYS, have a back-up plan!
