ABOUT ME

I love anything that has to do with building, the way a building works, and how to make it all MORE EFFICIENT. People are always surprised that I, a woman, love construction...but I think why wouldn't I?? It's so cool! Aside from tinkering around and experimenting with alternative building methods, I often find myself making furniture out of what others would label as "junk" (broken records, pieces of chairs, spindles, old electrical cords, etc).

My dream job would be training women and employing women in the building trades, rebuilding and restructuring Buffalo and finding new methods for building rehabs which are less harmful to the environment. Definitely NOT an office job. I need to work both with my hands and my mind...

Other not so serious things? Well, my grandfather was obsessed with musicals, so I know many a show tune. I think camping is great and everyone should do it at least once in their life (even if they "hate" dirt). I can say the alphabet backwards.

PHILOSOPHY

I live life to learn. And to use what I've learned to teach others and inspire others to want to learn. What would happen if we stopped wanting to learn?? What a boring society we would live in...
