About Me
Hey!
My name is Mia and I´m a 21 year old student of Moleculare Medicine.
Since a few years I felt the urge to travel and get to know new people and cultures more and more so now I try to travel any minute I can! The trip I enjoyed most was a 3 week travel through Vietnam, just because everything was so different than what I know from here in Germany.
People who have met me know that I am a very open minded and enthusiastic person and that I have a smile on my face basically all the time.
I live by the motto "a stranger is a friend you have not met yet" because this quote inspired me so much to not judge people too fast and also helped me to approach people more easily.
I am always open for a good conversation or just listening to people talking about their life and dreams.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have been on quite a few holidays with my family but sadly never really got to know a lot about the locals and the culture. This is what I want to change now and I hope Couchsurfing is a great way to do this!
Interests
My biggest passion by far is dancing! I did "normal" ballroom dancing for 4-5 years, learning ChaCha, Rumba, Samba, Discofox, Waltz, Tango etc. but since 5 years I also do Latin Formation dance competitively which I love even more. A quick explanation is that a team of 8 pairs dances a choreography that has to include all 5 latin dances. The team spirit is what i like the most in this sport.
But I also really like to hike. I live in Bavaria so I don`t have to drive too far to get to the mountains. I enjoy the nature and the highlight is of course the view!
I even tried mountain climbing for the first time recently and am obsessed now.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
A hike through the rice fields in the north of Vietnam. The view was AMAZING and we had such a lovely guide who told us about the way they live and even cooked for us at their own house.
Teach, Learn, Share
I enjoy to teach people some dance moves. I already held some dance lessons for around 15 people and was so happy to see so many smiling faces!
But if you have any dance moves you could show me i would be soo interested to learn them!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I could give you a private dance lesson and maybe cook for you :)
