About Me

Hey there!

I'm Mia. :) I've called South Africa, Thailand and Japan home. Next on my list? Costa Rica. Originally from Indiana, I have a passion for getting to know people on a deeper and more meaningful level. I'm currently working on developing videography/photography skills that will help me share stories from around the world. I'd love to hear yours if you'd like to share it. I have recently been focused on immigration and refugee issues as well as community building.

I'm quite goofy and free spirited but like most people-get a bit nervous during a first meeting. I am also a member of Workaway and would love to help you with any projects or tidying around the house if needed. I know the effort that hosts go through and hope to contribute as much as possible.

To learn more about me, you are welcome to check out my IG: @miaonthemap. Feel free to reach out any time!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I haven't used CS much but would like to start. Lately I've been feeling a bit uncertain about what I would like to do with my future and feel that the best way for me to think creatively is by meeting new people and learning as much as I can.

I would love to make the world a little bit smaller by making some new friends and having new experiences!

Interests

Although I say I love dancing, it takes awhile to get me on the dance floor. :)

I try to get outside as much as I can and enjoy taking walks every day. I also love late night conversations and learning about the world.

I've taken up gardening as a recent hobby and can often be found with my Ukulele.
