About Me

Hey there :)

I'm Mia, 21 years old, mountain bred and currently baltic sea based, student of physics and biology to become a teacher later, swimmer against the tide, easy-going, talkative and - as probably everyone here - travel enthusiast.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Traveling around your own country or every other country is great, but even better if one can meet new people with a bunch of stories to tell :)

Interests

I do like being in good company. I'm always open for a nice chat, a discussion or even philosophising about life. Evenings are in most cases a little better with a drink - beer, wine, long drinks, you name it - so count me in for hitting the city or just a relaxed evening home.

I spend my freetime with track and field, meeting my friends, being out with my camera, cooking, getting addicted to series, being creative, partying, singing, traveling for sure and sooo many more things.

Well, and from time to time I even take my studies serious - mostly a short time before exams start ;)

Music, Movies, and Books

Kakkmaddafakka, Friska Viljor, AnnenMayKantereit, Wanda, Simon&Garfunkel, Hiss, Solstafir, ...

Death at a Funeral, Saving Grace, Pitch Perfect, ..

When it comes to books I'd rather name authors. Chimamanda Ngozi Adichi, Jostein Garder, Haruki Murakami, J.K. Rowling, Cornelia Funke, Jane Austen, ...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Apart from my travels to India and Russia with my choir, my backpacking and hitchhiking trip in Northern Norway was one of the most amazing things I've ever done. Hiking on Lofoten, swimming in the arctic sea, meeting reindeer and moose along the way, experiencing RidduRiddu festival, sleeping in a traditional sami tent and a perfect night without any clouds at the north cape.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I don't mind sharing my cooking skills, my knowledge about physics, biology and educational science, my storys about a year as an au pair, about traveling, backpacking and hitchhiking. About photography, my home country, music, politics and so on :)

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Denmark, Egypt, England, France, Greece, India, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Russian Federation, Scotland, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey, United States
