ABOUT ME

Hiii,

I'm Michelle, I'm 21 and I like travelling :)

I'm Scottish but I moved to Dubai when I was just a few months old then stayed in the middle east for 6 years.

This means that I don't really know what to say when people ask me "where are you from?" but I usually say Moffat, a small town near the border of Scotland, which I moved to when I was 10 and where my mum still lives.

I also spent a year in Mauritius but now I live in Stirling where I'm studying :D

RIGHT NOW however I'm in Geneva on an erasmus exchange and I'll be here until the end of June.

Basically my life is pretty hectic right now, for the past 3 years I haven't been in the same place for more than 6 months and I won't be settling down anytime soon either. This basically makes is impossible for me to host but I've kept my profile in the hope that one day I have a place which will properly be my own :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'd like to use Couchsurfing to surf, hopefully next summer. As for hosting I've done it before but I can't now because I'm back in student accommodation for the coming academic semester sooo...sorry about that.

I've only ever actually hosted once! was fun though :)

I've surfed once too and it was a great experience.

Interests

I love music, I play the piano to grade 7 and I also love to travel. Been to about 16 countries so far and have a list of many others I want to go to. Lived in 4 countries. I go running most days, I enjoy reading books and I'm currently an undergraduate in Film, Media & French.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: I like films which really leaving you thinking afterwards, also I like french films. Macho fighting films with guys wearing tank tops and holding guns are not my cup of tea at all but each to their own ;)

Music: Indie, Acoustic, Reggae, Dance, House...well a lot of stuff really. Cliché yes, True yes.

Books: I like history, romantic, travel and the classics. Also memoirs and books about the middle east - just a topic of interest to me.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

-Horse riding around the Pyramids in Egypt
-My entire year of working at the Shelter for Women and Children in Distress in Mauritius.
-Camping in the Saudi Arabian desert
