Beginning the second half of my life, married for 40years; recently a widow. mother of 4, sister to 8 siblings, citizen of the world, a Unitarian Universalist, socially liberal; fiscally conservative, Happy, optimistic, love to travel, learn, scrapbook, bike ride, run, read, write stories, eat new foods (eat any foods!), canoe, swim, scuba dive; I have worked as a secretary, a house cleaner, a medical technologist, a doctor's assistant, a nanny... hope to make 10,000 friends before my life on this planet is done and hope to leave it a better, happier more loving place
PHILOSOPHY
live, love, laugh. do it some more. leave the world better, and happier. learn something new whenever you can. be a friend. if you have a chance to sit it out or dance, DANCE! ask questions. Rock the boat. Be willing to be different. Know when to lead, when to follow. Look at the stars, be amazed. Believe in magic, Santa Claus and love.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
We have now couch surfed in London, Northern Ireland, Florida, New York and Hong Kong. Every experience has been fantastic. We are loving this! We have hosted many couch surfers ourselves and had a terrific time with every one of them. Keep on surfing (couches that is)!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Ridden in the cockpit of an L-1011 airliner. Raced snowmobiles in Alaska. Seen Northern Lights. Played soft ball on snowshoes. Gone SCUBA diving on the great barrier reef. Eaten whale, walrus, turkey testicles, frog legs, moose, caribou, and bear. Met Danny Thomas. Met Joe Theisman. Met Jane Goodall. WOW!
Teach, Learn, Share
I know how to raise children, at least the four I have. I can cook, quilt, kayak; I know how to draw blood, as in with a needle! I can teach about health and nutrition.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share my cooking, I can clean, I can teach, I can play with children, I can walk dogs, care for most type of animals, share some knowledge, offer an invitation to my home, network with hosts.
