ABOUT ME

I'm a young, energetic guy who's curiosity and thinking never turns off. I love to learn new things, gain new experience, perspective, and travel. I work hard, but also like to have fun and relax just the same. I took some time off from the corporate world in 2012 to just vagabond via van across northeastern North America & then backpacking through parts of Western Europe. I saw as much as I could, met as many great people as I could, and embarked on many new experiences. I continue to travel, backpacking through Albania, Greece, and Turkey in 2013 with my girlfriend Viktoriya and plan to continue visiting new countries each and every year from here on out with her. I hope to meet you in my travels.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is often situational, but I always seek truth in understanding. Experiences are more important to me than materials.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I surf & I host - I've had great couches to surf around the world in my travels and look forward to having many more. I've met some great people as I've traveled and hope to continue to do so in the future. The people are what make CouchSurfing great! Local people and local experiences are invaluable. I want to extend the same for surfers visiting my city.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've surfed several times in several countries and have had amazing experiences thus far. I think the CouchSurfing community is just awesome. I've extended my couch to so many acquaintances previously that CouchSurfing fits right into my wheel house.

So many interest I'm not going to list them. I can be very engaged or laid back depending on the topic and environment. I love to learn about anything new and gain new perspective.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Swimming off the coast of Oban, Scotland in 2 degree weather - just because the hostel keeper asked if I would like to join for a refreshing swim in the sea. Meeting some of the people of the Dominican Republic and learning about there lives while I was traveling there. Their outlook is so amazing, all things considered. This was early in my travels and only my second time outside the US. This fueled much more of my desire to travel. Chongqing China (and the rails of inland China) was by far the most awestruck I've been, to the extend that I cannot describe it in this space.
