ABOUT ME

I am a licensed Paramedic, a writer/listener of performance poetry, and an avid reader of philosophy. I enjoy wandering around cities, rap music, black tea, and chocolate milk. In my summers between school, have worked as a painter, a landscaper, and a worker in an industrial factory. I watch too much tv and don't eat enough vegetables.

PHILOSOPHY

I don't like filling in profiles like this. I'm not a loud person, although I enjoy pleasant conversation. I was raised Jewish but don't believe in god. I am vaguely liberal but have no strong political convictions. I like art museums and salsa dancing. I like writing, people watching, and drinking tea.

Or to put it alternatively, I believe that it is difficult but possible to live authentically in the creation and presentation of a constantly shifting identity. And I believe that there is no greater thrill than living aesthetically, in persuit of ephemeral beauty.

I want to have meaningful human interactions that are not solely defined by television, the internet, and the weather.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I haven't had any couchsurfing experience yet. Unless you count sleeping on the floor of a middle aged epidemiologist in the Netherlands whom I met in a gas station, or hosting a homeless ex-con for a night in my hotel room in North Carolina.
