About Me

CURRENT

I love to share my fascination for life and beyond as a screenwriter, cinematographer, filmmaker, musician, songwriter, poet and father.

ABOUT ME

I traveling a lot for my work but also to see my friends in the US, Mexico and Germany. I’m living in the lovely city of Leipzig, Germany and at a homestead in Harpswell, Maine.
.
I do love the great outdoors and mother earth with all her beauty of nature and diversity of beings. I love to put my hands into the soil— tending a garden and I also love to give a hand to my friends doing carpentry.

I also love hiking, riding my bike, hanging out with friends, sitting in in jamsessions in New York, Los Angeles, Leipzig, Erfurt, Harpswell and Brunswick and writing songs for our musical collective in Mexico. I play harmonica and ukulele.

PHILOSOPHY

Being at peace in my heart.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Friends of mine had a good time with couchsurfing and shared their experience with me back in the years. So I’ve got the idea it might be a great way to make friends while exploring the world.

Then I have been at a capoeira workshop in Warsaw like twenty years ago. Katharina, a polish girl from a local capoeira group, hosted us. She shared her memories about couchsurfing in Berlin and Paris while we had a great time together.

2011 on my bicycle trip along the the danube bike-trail from Vienna to Bukarest I did my first couchsurfing where I met the most beautiful people and made new friends, who loved to share their stories and time with me.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love drum'n'base, ragga, reggae, brasilian mpb, forro, samba, americana, blues, jazz, blue grass, folk, rock, classic and percussions all kind.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I’ve been filming on the Mauna Kea in Hawaii, at the White House in Washington and at Dizzi’s Club in Lincoln Center New York. I’ve met a former member of the Weather Underground—as a peaceful fire keeper of my friends sweatlodge and filmed an interview with his prosecutor five years later to learn what forced to do what he did before. I filmed the family Blake Protest in Kenosha two days after the second shooting and witnessed the most powerful peaceful speech to bring love and peace back to the hearts of the protesters. Sure, it’s more than one thing.

Teach, Learn, Share

Learning is ongoing fun forever.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Maybe we can hang out and jam together or go to a jamsession or an open mic. I have an ukulele, some percussions and a gig set of harmonicas all keys.

I also love to share stories from my work and my travels or sharing my poetry. I guess best thing to do so is cooking together and having a great meal after. I’m always happy to try new things—maybe some recipe you bring from home.
