German exchange student currently studying in Mexico, after spending my previous semester in South Korea. I love traveling slowly, getting to know new cultures, and understanding how people live in different parts of the world.

I feel most at home in rock music, especially alternative rock bands like Deftones and Queens of the Stone Age are my absolute favorites.
When it comes to movies, my knowledge is pretty basic since I honestly don’t watch that many films.
I do enjoy reading, mostly novels, and I’m always open to good book recommendations.

One of the most memorable experiences I’ve ever had was my trip to Beijing during the Chinese National Holiday week, where I felt like the only non-Chinese tourist in the entire city. It was intense, overwhelming, and unforgettable.
What surprised me most was how incredibly kind, welcoming, and helpful people were completely different from what I had expected based on stereotypes or things I had heard beforehand.
It became one of the most enriching experiences of my travels so far and definitely the biggest culture shock I’ve ever had, in the best possible way. It taught me a lot about openness, curiosity, and how powerful human connection can be even when you don’t share a language.
