Michael Arnephie is a prolific local artistic talent who is able to blend and morph his art into contemporary media, translating the aesthetic visions of his mind's eye into modern day cutting edge graphic digital illustrations.

Born in 1968, Michael hails from Anse Boileau Seychelles where he spent most of his childhood, soaking in the images of life and times of the Wild West coast of Mahé. He attended the district school at junior level, moving on to Seychelles College and eventually the Seychelles Polytechnic in '86 to study fine art. His keen early interest in photography and art translated into a body of work which today transcends and creates a genus of virtuosity fusion art.

In '87, Michael migrated to Melbourne, Australia and was exposed to new diverse paths of the world of graphics. Branching off into fashion and design, he embarked on a career as a freelance designer for top Australian lifestyle fashion houses such as Hang Ten, Ocean Breeze, Amco Jeans, and Slazenger Sportswear. All the while he continued to paint and participated in numerous exhibitions and community art projects throughout Australia.

Returning to Seychelles in 2001 he set up Hi Tech Graphics, establishing himself as the leading advertising & branding agency that set the benchmark locally in corporate identity creation. He is credited with the creation of several well-known brands such as Creole Travel Services, ZilAir (logo and helicopter livery) and the award winning 'Selebre Sesel' airplane livery of the Air Seychelles domestic fleet.

Michael continued to pursue his artistic expression and developed his own genre with the melding of his graphics commercial side with his fine arts talents
