About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To unhinge myself from the normal track of Western life.

ABOUT ME

I have had many adventures in my life around the world. My background is in business, which has afforded me some unique opportunities from owning an old folks home to working at Google. I am now pursuing a career in writing.

I am friendly to all and especially attracted to people trying unique things and hoping to make a positive dent in the world.

PHILOSOPHY

"Those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music." -Friedrich Nietzsche

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Right now, I am only looking to surf, travel, and meet people. I rent a room and my roommate wouldn't be down to host in his house, he's a cool dude, just not his thing. His house, gotta respect the rules.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Very new here! Just signed up from a recommendation of a friend who's travelled the world many times over via CS.

Interests

Travel, writing, music (not as a musician but just LOVE music), business, entrepreneurship, non-profit, social activism, dancing (I'm not that great, but I love it), art, martial arts, adventure, and meeting new people.

Music, Movies, and Books

Raised on classic rock, enjoy alternative, acoustic, indie (newer exposure for me), basic anything passionate, beautiful, and soulful.

Love to read, usually only have time for business books but once in a while I get to enjoy some philosophy. Most recent philosophy I've read is Seneca, Letters of a Stoic. I highly recommend it!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the coolest experiences that comes to mind is the time I met the Dalai Lama in his hotel room while he was staying in San Francisco! I have many other adventures but that was the first that came to mind.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Some fun stories of traveling a little of the world and some from working in tech, sales, Google, owning an old folks home, living in Los Angeles, Silicon Valley, and many more.

Countries I’ve Visited

Bhutan, Brazil, China, Ecuador, Mexico, Nepal, Philippines, South Korea, Thailand
