I'm an architect in Philadelphia with a knack for finding my way into odd corners of the city -- drinking with a Ukrainian choir in a basement apartment, decorating a rose-covered float for an Our Lady of Guadalupe procession, debating the phantom 13th amendment in the halls of the Philomathean Society.

This summer, I'm hoping to get to know the coutryside beyond Philadelphia in the same way, by bicycle!

I used couchsurfing a few years ago to plan a bicycle trip through Indiana and Michigan -- it was a great way to make a human connection on the trail. And oh what variety of humans!

I'm now looking to plan a similar trip from Philadelphia to Gettysburg and back. I'm hoping to meet good people, exchange stories, and find restful places to stay along the way.
