I'm Michael from Plymouth UK. Heard about this from a friend so thought I'd give it a try.

I am passionate about travelling, experiencing new cultures and meeting new people. I have plenty of friends, many through travelling, so would like to think I am fun to hang out with.

I am currently travelling in U.A.E. / Sri Lanka / India and Nepal. From there I will visit America then head down through Mexico & Central/South America.

It can be a little hard to meet people from time to time, as I am travelling alone. But if anything that forces me to get outside my comfort zone and really make an effort with new people.

I usually stay at hostels or guest houses, but a friend suggested to do this, as it's a great way to meet locals or people who know the good spots to visit. Not sure what to expect really and not getting my hopes up, but it looks and sounds like it could be a lot of fun and a way of saving money in the process.

Once I am back from my travels I'd love to host as well.

I don't read a lot, mainly read travel books and autobiographies.
