About Me

I came to the United States from Russia with my parents and a younger sister when I was a child. I went to New York University and received a B.A. in Political Science and in English and American Literature (double major). I then graduated from Duke Law School. I work as an attorney in New York and practice bankruptcy. I help people in need to get rid of crushing debt and get a fresh start and love what I do.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to meet new, interesting, exciting people, who love to travel and who need a place to stay when they are visiting my great, amazing city that never sleeps.

Interests

I love to travel. I lived and studied abroad, and have traveled pretty extensively, as well. On one of the trips I went to Greece, Turkey, Israel and Jordan. While in college, I traveled all over Europe. I visited five national parks in the southwest and climbed up several peaks at Zion. I enjoy nature and the outdoors, and love to go on hiking, biking and river trips when I'm traveling. I recently went on a car trip to New Hampshire and Maine, where I spent several days exploring Acadia National Park.

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy different kinds of music. Classic rock is my favorite. I also watch a lot of movies. My favorites are the ones by Quentin Tarantino. I love "Pulp Fiction" and "The Reservoir Dogs". I also read a lot and listen to audio books, especially when I'm biking. My favorite book is "Don Quixote". I also like to read and listen to books on history.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've done many amazing things :-)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can be a great host and drive my visitor around the city and its suburbs. I can take my visitor to the most interesting of New York's landmarks and museums, as well as show New York's nightlife. I can also tell my visitors what to see and what places to visit in New York and NY Metropolitan area. I know a lot about the history of the city and of the US.
