Hi, I'm Michael. Most of my friends call me Mickey, because there's about 50 trillion Mike's that everybody knows, & I don't like to Mike # 5000 to anybody. Hahaha. I'm a guitarist, I make original music, I've been back and forth enough times between the subways to make a buck or two as much as I can to get some money to survive. I've been living a strange life hopping back and forth between my Grandma's apartment and friends houses to do what I can to survive, but I've met some incredible people, and have had enough incredible experiences to entertain my friends with stories of my adventures I've taken to meet some incredible people. I've met a few famous people traveling the streets of Chicago, and I feel like following my heart to meet some of the kindest people I could has helped me become stronger as a person. I may have PTSD from everything I've experienced, but I'm very capable of dealing with my own emotions and problems I'm having in my own personal journey by myself. I have dealt with the ego-maniacal, and the patient, and have dealt with the difficult, the stressful, and the joyous moments in stride, and I take the good with the bad. I'm doing my best to connect with the most positive people out there, because I've been through a lot. I used to have seizures, I have my own nerve pain issues every morning when I wake up, but it has never affected my ability to share the love of conversation, good times, and good music. I'm always positive, even when I'm surrounded by chaos all around me. I am only defensive when I feel like somebody doesn't trust me or wants to impose upon me something I don't want, so as long as the communication between myself and whoever I'm talking to is positive, I have never had any issues not being calm and relaxed upon meeting somebody new. I have had my phone stolen from me multiple times, I've been robbed, out of my money, and by a knife to my throat, and I am very conscious of my surroundings and where my belongings are at all times, and I'm not very trusting of strangers going through my stuff. So as long as someone else respects me and my belongings, I will have the utmost respect for you and your things as well. I am always compassionate, respectful, and caring to everybody I meet, unless they do not give me the same respect as I give them. I can get along with anybody, as long as the vibe is right, and the respect you would give your brother or sister is given to me, to a degree, after all, I may be meeting you for the first time. I like to drink casually and smoke (because it helps my headaches), to a degree. I'm not a chainsmoker, and I'm not super addicted to nicotine, and if somebody doesn't want me to smoke or drink in their house, I won't, out of respect for their home. I have been trying to find something like this where I can meet new people, share my music with them, and network to amazing people like the couchsurfer hosts, for a very long time. I'm super excited to meet new people, and have some positive encounters with kind & embracing strangers, but I'm also conscious enough to never get screwed over, and if I have any doubts about somebody, I can always go somewhere else. I am couchsurfing, and life circumstances that have forced my life into an awkward position, but if you would like to know about my life, ask me one thing at a time. I have bad social anxiety when somebody grills me about every facet of my life in the timespan of half an hour, but I promise, if you ask me something, I will always answer any questions you have about me honestly. I care about the people I meet very deeply, I refuse to tolerate judgmental people, hatefulness, and mind games. I will always reciprocate the respect given to me, and as long as whoever I'm communicating with is patient enough to listen to me, the communication between us will always be a pleasant experience. I am in the process of doing many things with my life to get myself onto a stable schedule and lifestyle, but my life has forced me to deal with the problems present, and I'm doing everything I can to survive. I will always have something to bring to the table, whether it be a drink, or a laugh, or a song, or food (I have a snap card), I will make your night, or nights, worth remembering. My Grandma's apartment, the only place I have to live besides my friends couches once in a while, is uninhabitable. I have been sleeping on the floor for the past year and a half. My own mother trhew away my only bed and did not buy me a new one after I was living with my ex for 2 months in an effort to break away from the suburbs about a year & a half ago, and the bed at my Grandma's was forcefully removed by apartment management because of bedbugs a few years ago. The air conditioner is broken in this apartment, and I have woken up from 4 hours of sleep because of the unbearable cold that wakes me with a shiver up my spine. I need somewhere to stay, while this problem in my life gets fixed, NOT because friends couches are the shizniz. IF YOU WANT MY REFERENCE, MY FRIEND JUSTINA WILL CONTACT YOU. SHE doesn't wanna pay 20 dollars just to be "verified", and neither do I. CONTACT ME AND I WILL GIVE YOU HER NUMBER. She's letting me couchsurf over at her place atm.

Rock and roll, fun, and the power of soul. Plus House Music! :-) I like philosophy, good music, good people, and jamming to something made up on the fly. I like to inspire people to live a different, more enlightened life. But I will never jam my beliefs down your throat like some televangelist. I believe everyone has their own way of interpreting what God is, or isn't, and that's fine with me. I believe in God, but I feel like I found out what God really means to me through philosophy and countless hours of pondering paradoxical principles of science and spirituality.
