I’d describe myself as quite laidback and chilled. Despite this I’m also ambitious and driven to achieve goals that I have. I always enjoy listening to others perspectives and gaining understanding about the people that I meet. I truly love hearing what other people are passionate about and what it is that drives them.

I enjoy problem solving also and hold a masters degree in engineering. I’ve worked as an engineer for a number of years before quitting to travel in April 2025.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’m attempting to cycle from my home in the UK to Australia heading east out of Europe, through the Middle East and Asia.

I used CS whilst cycling from England to Budapest, Hungary in 2018. The new friends I made and experiences along the way were so positive and life affirming.

Started using CS on the recommendation of my friend and his experience whilst he was bike packing through France.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love seeing live music and spend a lot of my time listening to a range of different artists and attending music festivals. Indie and alternative are probably my favourite genres but I’ll listen to a wide range and my mood dictates what I’ll be listening to in that moment.

I do enjoy watching movies and will watch anything at least once so I’m always happy to give and receive recommendations. My childhood favourite is Jurassic Park and I’m a big fan of action movies.

I love reading fictional pieces that provide an escape or help me see the world from different perspectives. I’ve recently read Conversations with Friends, The Midnight Library and The Ninth House.

I've cycled the length of Britain raising money for charity.
