About Me

I finished my PhD in Immunology last year, and I'm in my last year of MD training now. I've lived in Denver for 7 years, and I'm originally from Virginia. I graduated from William and Mary in 2009.

I'm a quiet, easygoing and respectful person. Sometimes it takes the right situation and the right personalities for me to really open up. But I'm interested in hearing your stories and learning about your life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It's the best way to meet locals when traveling solo. I'm in Cape Town for work through September.

Interests

Most recently I've started cooking, a lot. I'd love to learn more recipes and styles from others while traveling.

I love to bike (as in bicycle) on roads or in mountains. I know a lot about bike repair and maintenance, and have done volunteer work helping kids and adults fix their bikes at a non-profit bike shop here in Denver.

I'm also a newbie at SCUBA diving, sailing, and kayaking.

I also have a pilot's license, but unfortunately haven't flown in years. I also like to try to play guitar and sing but it's hard to do in front of others and haven't made much progress recently.
