Hi, I'm Mike from from Australia and I love to travel ✈️

I have been to 20 countries so far and discovered Couchsurfing while abroad a couple of years ago.

The app helped me out a lot - I got to know a lot of great local people and discovered a lot cool places and things I would have missed otherwise in my travels 🌏

I have been paying it forward since and hosting surfers in my home country for some time. I'm keen to jet off when I can for more adventures.

Always looking for opportunities to live and learn from locals in their own cultures and countries that I am visiting - I find this is the best way to immerse oneself and truly be somewhere.

In return, Ive been hosting travellers at my own place in Brisbane and always happy to help in any way possible and to give back to those who help me while abroad. I also love to exchange stories and good travel ideas :)

I love my work, friends, family, and hobbies.
Im quite into ngymnastics + calisthenics (and most fitness pursuits) - I run a fitness business in Oz and I'm also a freelance writer for fitness magazines - if you share and interest for this area as well as travel that would be a great bonus!

Movies and books - too many to choose from... I generally don't like romance movies or chick flicks though haha

Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto

Probably my big bungy jump in New Zealand was one of the scariest but most rewarding things I've done. I look back and saw conquering that fear as a big turning point for other things in my life and gave me faith in myself to pursue things I probably wouldn't have the stomach for initially. Scuba diving was also unreal - it's a whole other world under the ocean ...I will never snorkel again 😁

I like to solve problems and can work like a rented mule if required to do so!
A good dose of humour and positivity also comes with my package. I'm usually savvy and engaged on most topics of conversation - if people want to talk to me, we can do it until my ears start to bleed
