Overview
About Me
I'm a former ESL teacher who has always had a touch of wanderlust. I have always gone on road trips with friends and family. In college I studied abroad in Seoul South Korea and that's when I learned just how wonderful traveling alone could be. I've studied philosophy, mathematics, and creative writing; and have published some small works.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I biked from Fredonia NY to the Redwoods in California. And I want to meet friendly people to talk.
Interests
Teaching, creative writing, bicycling, horses, sailing & kayaking, food.
Music, Movies, and Books
All music, but especially 60s soul.
Most movies, but I'm not a fan of the fantastically bad.
I'm an eclectic reader, currently: Anna Karenina.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The most amazing thing is bicycling from Buffalo to Northern California. It was a blast, and the people I had the good fortune to stay with have taught me so much.
Teach, Learn, Share
I've tutored most college classes and if I don't know it I can learn it and teach you. Also bicycle repair and cooking. I also love sharing my favorite poems and poets with people.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Mostly I can share quality conversation and stories of my travels. I can also tune a bicycle, help clean or some handy man stuff, and help cook. Oh, and I'm listening to a lot of podcasts so I can share what I learn from those!
Countries I’ve Visited
Canada, Japan
Countries I’ve Lived In
