Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I go to a country because I want to know it, and I cannot know it without knowing its people. Couchsurfing is the remarkable opportunity to talk to someone who lives and breathes the area of interest.

Five years ago, my life plan was to become an academic philosopher. Now, I spend my time staring at maps, thinking, "I wonder whether someone's walked that."
