About Me

I'm the son of Taiwanese immigrants, born and raised in California. People say that I have a calm, logical, and bright personality -- all good things I hope! I have a tendency to go 200% on anything I have an interest in -- kendo, sports, playing music, history, and now traveling :D

My career (so far) has been in designing energy and water efficient buildings. I want to see architecture and design in other places!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

After working for about 6 years, I've saved up some money and now it's time to see more of the world! I've heard so many good things about Couchsurfing from friends who have tried it. I'm excited to meet other Couchsurfers out there and swap stories :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once went on a road trip with my best friend and within 3 months we had traveled a distance equal to the circumference of the Earth!

This is not a thing I've done, but something that happened that amazes me. Recently, I realized that almost everything I find boring or silly is only that way because I don't understand it. Things I used to hate, such as chemistry and history, have become incredibly fascinating to me because I found ways that they were relevant in my life. I am now trying to travel, read, and listen as much as I possibly can in order to better understand life and the universe!

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: Given the right conditions and environment, I can teach you how to surf!

Learn: Teach me what you love to do!

Share: Let's share some laughs and have a good time. Oh, and hopefully a meal :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I play the cello...but damn that thing is way to big to travel with haha. I've been learning the harmonica and would love to show you what I've learned :D

I'm rapidly becoming much better at cooking, and I've had some pretty encouraging success. Allow me make a meal for us to share :D
