About Me

I'm a tree-hugging being from Trinidad and Tobago, the planet earth, the third star in the sol system. I recently finished graduate school and am figuring out how to put my degree in soil science and crop nutrition to work as a farmer! I'm an avid reader (and more recently lister to audiobooks) so you can most often find me curled up quietly in between adventures into the human and natural ecosystems around me. I enjoy hikes, in particular, if they lead to a water feature, though an impressive vista is also great. I prefer warmer climes to cool, but I've wintered 4 years of upstate New York in undergrad so I like to think I'm pretty all-terrain! I can be reserved, particularly at the start of getting to know someone, but my friends know I'll talk their ear off if they get me going. I am by no means a "neat freak" but I am assiduous about having my space, and or yours if I visit be clean, even if it is a little messy/cluttered with bags and clothes.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I look forward to both hosting and traveling to learn more about this beautiful planet, and the people, plants and animals that inhabit it. I've thoroughly enjoyed hosting friends from college and showing them around "sweet-sweet T&T" to see things like the Temple by the sea, Hanuman statue, Caroni Swamp and beyond.

I've also gone to stay with college roommates in Madrid, Belgium, and various parts of the united states staying on couches, etc. as we go.
