Hello :)) I’m Michael . I’m a university student studying linguistics in the US. I'm new to CS, but I feel very at home already just chatting with all of you haha. I'm a lover of travel and good conversation. I'm generally very open and like to discuss current (or historical) events in the world in a way that prioritizes respect and open-mindedness.

I’m a very easy-going and curious person. Having grown up around a lot of different cultures and beliefs, I've been lucky enough to learn a lot about language, culture, and history, but am always looking to learn more.

If I could have a superpower, I'd like to be able to speak any language. Language to me is such a critical tool in learning to understand different perspectives, not to mention it would be invaluable to me in my career as an interpreter haha!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I lived in Spain with a host family for 6 weeks in 2019 and am planning on going back this fall :)

I supported children who spoke English as a second language in grades K-9 from 2020-2022

I'm finishing by Bachelor's in Linguistics this summer :)
