Hi all! My name is Mike, and it's nice to meet you. I like to think of myself as an open minded person who is willing to hear other points of view and gets excited meeting new people. I love hearing other people's stories and thoughts about any subject. When traveling, I try and take care as to "live as a local" and really take in my surroundings. My main interests are in music, traveling and running. I completed my first marathon recently and would like to compete in more, perhaps even run a marathon in every continent and every state in the USA. That's one of many goals at least. I currently work for a piano dealership in NY fixing pianos and I love what I do. It's great to be surrounded by music all the time. Lastly, I am just a big fan of listening in general. So tell me something new!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on couch surfing because I am about to embark on my first trip across the world and would like to meet new people. I can't think of a better way than couch surfing. As I will be traveling for months, my budget is tight and I hope couch surfing will help me save money, while giving me a great opportunity to meet locals so they can show off their city/land to me.

I like classical music and a lot of classic indie rock bands like Pavement, Guided by Voices etc. I also love comic books/movies. I like to read books about spirituality, running, pianos or a good novel.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teaching in Nepal this summer. I used to teach piano. If I am staying with someone from couch surfing, I would love to learn everything they have to say about their home/city.
